Where to go in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is at the epicenter of Southern Africa's tourist highlights so including a stay with its most popular destination Vic Falls, with say a stay in Cape Town's wine lands or the Okavango in Botswana is easy logistically. The places of interest which are further away from the most popular spots, such as the Zimbabwe Ruins at Masvingo are a little harder to get to but not impossible provided that time or budget are not a constraint.

These are some of our favourite places to visit in Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls - perennially spectacular with water flowing over the edge of the Falls all year round. There is lots to do especially in the adventure genre but importantly the rain forest which is a World Heritage site has been kept naturally beautiful.

Hwange - Zimbabwe's best known national park is a wildlife haven. Excellent and varied game and birdlife abound. An added bonus is that it's only two and a half hours by road from Victoria Falls.

Kariba - This man made lake was created when the Zambezi was dammed in surrounded by beautiful wilderness areas that abound with game. Enjoy this water wilderness by boat or visit one of the remote lodges in the areas surrounding the lake.

Mana Pools - If remote Africa is what you heart longs for then Mana Pools will satisfy your every need. Incredible game viewing awaits.
