KafueNational Park is fed by two major river arteries – the Kafue and Lufupa Rivers. This safari explores the diverse riverine and flood plain habitats and their varied wildlife species ranging from the leopard and wild dog of the Lufupa woodlands, the endemic Defassa waterbuck of the riverine, red lechwe and oribi of the grasslands to the lion and cheetah of the Busanga Plains.
Why should I choose this Zambia safari?
The sheer diversity of the terrain in the Kafue from flood plains (similar to the Okavango) to the wide open spaces grassland of the Busanga makes this a safari with outstanding game viewing opportunities, all in a real wilderness area with few other tourists to share this with.

South Luangwa is Zambia’s best known national park and is renowned as being the home of the walking safari. This South Luangwa safari includes a combination of game drives and walking safari at the camps created by the legendary Norman Carr.

The game viewing in South Luangwa is excellent and especially well known for prolific sightings of leopard. This safari gives you the opportunity to witness wildlife on foot as well as from a game viewing vehicle within the different habitats of the South Luangwa National Park. The bush camps are small, intimate and rustic comfortable allowing guests to get a real African wildlife experience but with all the necessary creature comforts.

Note: this safari starts and ends in Lusaka with flights taking you from Lusaka to Mfuwe airport which services the Luangwa area., but it could also be reached from Livingstone ( via Lusaka) You may want to consider adding a few nights in Livingstone to see the Victoria Falls.
