CAMP AMALINDA                                                                                Camp Amalinda, the stylish safari camp in the Matobo Hills of Zimbabwe
The Matobo Hills have fascinated many travellers over the ages including the (in)famous colonialist Cecil John Rhodes who so loved the magnificent topography that he chose the area to be laid to rest.

The smooth rocks and boulders erratically scattered by Mother Nature have come to rest in a towers of rocks, that rest one upon each other in a seemingly gravity defying way, to create a landscape that is unique and breath takingly beautiful. Here, tucked away in an ancient bushmens shelter amongst the granite koppies of the Matopas National Park lies Camp Amalinda.

WHY SHOULD I GO TO CAMP AMALINDA?
The Matopas is a mere 45 kms south west of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city. We would definately recommend a stop here if you are planning a self drive holiday through Zimbabwe. The scenery is spectacular, there are many examples of San art dotted around the Hills and the grave of Cecil Johns Rhodes grave is well worth a visit.
If you have ever had the desire to sleep in a cave this is your chance to do so in style. Remote and beautiful, Camp Amalinda would make a wonderful destination for an African honeymoon.
