Being only two and a half hours drive from Livingstone, Shackleton's is easy to get to. Guests fly into Livingstone airport where they are met in person and then transferred by road to the lodge.
Shackleton's accommodates 12 people in thatched, en-suite chalets with private teak decks overlooking the Zambezi.
The swimming pool, sun downer deck, lounge, open dining area, and riverside bar provide guests with unparalleled views of the Upper Zambezi River.

All levels of angling expertise are catered for Shackleton’s making it a great place for groups of friends or company incentive trips.
Spin, lure and fly anglers fish for trophy Tigerfish, Bream, Tilapia and Catfish.
The lodge is open all year round, even when the river floods its banks each year to form the Zambezi flood plains.
A variety of fishing boats that range in size from 12’ to 26’ are available to guests.
Highly experienced river guides accompany you on your daily fishing outings. Shackleton's provides rods and fishing tackle that are specially geared to suit the fishing challenges of the Upper Zambezi River. Fly fishermen are requested to bring their own gear.
A catch-and-release policy is adhered to, to preserve the large fish that are caught in the 130 km stretch of the Upper Zambezi River.
The area around Shackletons is home to nearly 300 bird species that can be spotted at the Lodge, or by boat along the river banks, or by Mokoro in the tranquil river channels. |
