The large centrally located open-sided sitting room includes a dining area, library and Kaingo's renowned lead wood bar.
A special feature of Kaingo is the unique wooden deck built out over the river. From this relaxing vantage point one can view game coming down to drink, basking hippos, water birds fishing, and daily elephant crossings.
Accommodation comprises of four twin bedded chalets and one honeymoon suite. All the rooms have en-suite facilities, are well ventilated, mosquito-proofed and silently lit by solar power. These brick and thatch chalets are set discretely apart, each with a view over the Luangwa river.
Kaingo is a seasonal camp and opens at the beginning of each dry-season from May to October

Game-drives and walks from Kaingo provide exciting photographic opportunities for its guests.
The varied terrain around the camp includes the spectacular Fish Eagle lagoon, one of the largest ebony forests in the Park, Lion Plain and the Mwamba River.
Conservation is integrated into all aspects of Shenton Safaris, from rubbish removal to anti poaching patrols to maintaining a low impact road network. All produce is fresh from the Kaingo plot near the Mfuwe airport and the family farm supplies the camp with homemade soap and dairy products.
Realizing that conservation is not limited to the environment, but extends to the local people, Shenton Safaris also actively supports development of local schools, clinics and individuals through the local chief
