The northern sector of the Kafue National Park is a pristine wilderness of waterways, floodplains and open grasslands. Here, in a remote corner of the park, where the Lufupa and Kafue Rivers meet, you will find Lufapa Tented Camp. Excellent wildlife and superb birding await

Lufupa tented camp is small - only nine en suite tents, which makes for an intimate and personalised experienced.
The large Meru style tents sit upon wooden decks with private verandah areas which face the river. The tents are comfortably yet classically furnished and have en suite bathroom facilities.
The main area of the camp overlooks the Kafue river and houses the dining and lounge areas as well as a boma area for campfire conversation and a small plunge pool. |

Lufupa is known for exceptional leopard sightings but wildlife in the area is generally prolific offering a wide array of plains game including zebra, Lichtensteins hartebeest, kudu, impala and herds of buffalo. It is not uncommon to have elephants pass through camp.
Birding in the Kafue is exceptional with the area around Lufupa boasting well in excess of 400 species including the elusive African Finfoot.
Activities at Lufupa are included in the rate and include game drives, boat trips, guided safari walks and fishing. All activities are undertaken with highly trained professional guides.
