Sango Safari Camp lies on the banks of the Khwai River on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp gets its name from the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, and now part owners of this camp.
Sango Safari Camp is comfortable and intimate - accommodating only 10 guests in 5 large meru tents.
The camp strives to create the atmosphere of a mobile tented camp, combining rustic and luxurious features and designed in the style of classic safari camps of bygone days.
The main area houses the lounge, dining and bar area. This overlooks the open air boma where guests can relax after dinner arund an inviting fire.
The tents have private en suite bathrooms which include and indoor toilet and outdoor open air bucket showers which are filled for guests with hot water. |

The Khwai River forms a natural border between the Moremi reserve and the Khwai private concession. This area is unfenced and animals travel freely between the two areas.
The area offers a combination of open grasslands, seasonal floodplains and the permanant water of the Khwai River system. These areas bring a diversity of habitat that supports a wide range of wildlife unmatched in Northern Botswana.
Sango Safari Camp is perfectly positioned to offer a host of wildlife activities including game drives in open game drive vehicle within the private concession and the Moremi Game Reserve, guided bush walks as well as night drives.
On our recent visit to Sango Camp our wildlife sightings included wild dog (with pups), leopard, a mating lion couple, heaps of elephant, hyena as well as numerous and varied species of plains game.
